I have baked a durian cake (with fresh durian fillings) yesterday. However, I ran out of whipped cream for pipping. Can't get any out there as the shop that I normally patronise are closed. Weep weep. So without any nice deco, I can't post the pic. I have decided to bake another next week.

I have baked a cranberry cheesecake today. The texture of the cake is soft and light, very similar to the Japanese type. Unlike those American Cheesecakes whereby it's heavier. Those that are counting their calories but couldn't resist the temptation of cheesecakes, I would suggest that you give this a try:).

I will be baking Oreo Cheesecake, but have to wait till I am back from Hong Kong. Please watch out for more updates next week :)

Size of the cake: 8 inch x 2inch (Width X Height)
Currently, I will be selling only blueberry cheesecakes. Each is priced at $28.

Many commented that the previous Mississipi Mud Cake picture didn't look good. Therefore, I have baked another today, deco it a little with strawberries.

Size: ~8"x 2" Each cost $28

Woke up early in the morning to bake this cake. Among all the chiffon cakes, I love this most. The aroma of the pandan and coconut milk combine seamlessly to produce a heavenly smell......I wonder is this the way to describe. This cake is moist, soft and spongy. Many tried this and the feedback is very positive. The recipe was from my mum.....it's already 30 over years. Whenever there is a family gathering, this definitely will be in the order list.

Size of cake: ~23cmX 7cm $8 each

You must be thinking, it's still early and I have already started 'advertising' my Christmas Fruit Cake. It's definitely not early cos this cake takes time to 'age'. First, I have to marinate the dried fruits for sometime before the actual baking day. After that, I have to let it stand for weeks while I soak it with brandy. I have yet calculated the cost. This cake can be pricey due to the amount of brandy I have added. The aroma of the cake after adding brandy is really wonderful....Please let me know if you would like to try. SMS or call me at 98482306.

Tomorrow, I will be baking Pandan Cake. Do come back to check it out :)

Tried transfering those pizza and mudcake pictures I took in the afternoon but in vain. Have to check with my colleague how to do so tomorrow. (Finally managed to transfer those pics....)
Pretty busy today cos I was busy with my pizza and mississipi mudcake. Quite happy with the outcome. The mud cake is rich and moist, smells great too cos I added some whisky into the batter. My sister said that I should try Rum next time. I have also done a chocolate icing for the cake. For all chocolate lovers, this cake is a must try.......I am pretty sure you will enjoy it when the cake melts in your mouth......

Mississipi Mud Cake

Hawaiian Pizza

I will be baking Yam Mousse cake and probably Crossiants on Wed. Oh ya, anyone interested in Rich Fruit Cakes for Christmas? It's those traditional ones that take months to produce the final product. Let me know if you are keen to order cos I have to start marinating the dried fruits.

Decided to start this blog because I have finally decided to set up my own biz. Have always wanted to start something on my own after working for several years. So....here it comes. I think one of the reasons why I have decided to embark on this is because of my mum. She loves to bake and it's one of her dreams to own a cafe. So let me help her to fulfill her dream. I don't intend to set up a cafe now. Most probably when I have my regulars. Hope this day will come soon.

I have baked some walnut mooncakes for sales, box of nine for S$10. I am selling it at extremely low margin as a promotion. If you are keen, please call or sms me at 98482306 or email me at bakehousethe@yahoo.com.sg

Please visit my blog often as there will be more varieties of pastry and cakes for sale very very soon.
